ROTTEN BATHROOM FLOORBOARD FIX

Posted by Kim Ngoc Nguyen, on
I found out a small corner of my bathroom floor (where it was next to the toilet seat) quite soggy and the vinyl sheet which has silicon on coming off. When I pressed my hand on the floor, I can feel the soft part at that area and the vinyl sheet can move up and down a bit. It has been many months and just only that corner area (just big as a standard square tile) soggy. I guessed it could be the rotten floorboard as there were a small leak with the toilet pipe 1 year ago and we got the leak fixed. I would like to ask what should I do with that soggy area now? Do I need to replace whole bathroom floor? If I need to replace it, how long will it take? How much will it cost? And can we use the toilet while the work carried out as we only have 1 toilet in the flat and we have a young kid living with us? (My bathroom is around 5 square meters, have vinyl flooring, not tiling flooring) Many thanks.
