Can a Bath Waste Outlet only be Replaced?

Posted by Michael Arogyaswamy, on
The chrome plating on the (Ideal Standard) bath and basin waste outlet flanges are corroded and cracked, and unsightly. (I had my bathroom refurbished 20 years ago.) Can the flanged outlets be replaced, if replacement parts are available, or do I need to replace the complete assembly? They are the pop-up type with overflow? (I have photographs of the corroded flanges in the bath and basin.) Perhaps I need an experienced plumber to assess and decide, and carry out the replacement as needed..
