We're in the early stages of planning an extension. We've spoken to a couple of architects. Fees are similar and I'm sure they can do the drawings and planning submissions. What I want is support getting quotes for the building work and finding a builder. The architects seem reluctant to get involved in this stage of the process...any help? How do we go about getting quotes so we have a rough idea if what we want is actually affordable? No point in getting drawings done for something we later find is too costly...
