I have damp just above floor level on the inside of my front bay window. The experts suggest this is caused by two steps in the front garden put in by landscapers, that are causing splashing above the dpc. They have suggested treating by removing all the plaster on the inside, injected damp proofing into the bricks and re plastering with the correct damp resistant plaster. Surely it is a better and cheaper solution just to remove the steps then repair any damp damaged plaster once it's dried out? No one has suggested this! Why not?
