Furniture assembly assistance who agreed to a job, but not able to com

The assembling person suddenly said he's too busy to come and will come on Monday instead! Can I just ask another person to come and do the furniture assembly assistance? They haven't kept to their promise. I haven't paid them anything as they haven't done anything for me yet.
