Moving Flue and Boiler pipes in loft

Posted by Nathan Green, on
Im looking at having my loft converted into a storage space. I live in a a newish build house with a very small loft with lots of beams. In the loft I have two pipes that both seem to go a long way round to get to vents on the roof. I have one that is connected to the flue in the living room. There is no fireplace etc and as far as I can see the Flue has no real use. The flue is starts in the living room downstairs where we have blocked it off and added a vent. Does this pipe still need to be attached to the roof or could I close it off etc in the loft and remove the excess pipe that's in place. Aswell as this one, the vent pipe from my boiler takes up a lot of space in the loft, is it an option to move the piping to run a different way to the roof vent, but in a way that keeps it more out the way? Appreciate any help or advice!
