Bad plastering job?

I’m not sure what to expect from a plastering job of our kitchen ceiling but our plasterer has left us with messy corners (plaster doesn’t go all the way into corners), with a very uneven outer edge of a wall and messy inner joins with the walls and in a complete mess (floor needed scraping and mopping, plaster all over the window frames etc). Is this normal? Should we go back to him?

No you would expect a newly plaster ceiling to be ready to paint with some very minor repairs
