I have an old cinema seat with cast iron legs that I don't want to fix permanently to my wooden floor but want to fix to a base. I've got marble fireplace hearth I'd like to use for this which weighs, a lot! My question is, can you screw into marble to fix something like this to it, or will it just crack. If this is possible, what sort of tradesmen would do this type of job? Thanks
