I can't access the message sent to me

I asked for a quote for a job I have and then received an e-mail saying the builder sent me a message, but it doesn't allow me to access any message. It askes me to set up an account with rated people which asks for my trade and I'm not a tradesman. How can I access my message?

Hi Jeff, To see your messages, visit the app or ratedpeople.com followed by ""Log in". Enter your details you used when signing up. If using the app, the chat section is the last symbol on the main top navigation or if using the website, either "chat" on the top bar or press the three lines to the left followed by "chat" for the mobile site.
