Hired to replace pointing of existing patio. We were not expecting it to look like new patio. Initial attempt was very poor so refused to pay. Second attempt was superficially OK although have subsequently discovered that some of the pointing is soft and easily washes out leaving unsightly sand and cement on surface of patio that we are still trying to clean off. Gaps are now appearing that will need to be filled. Would not recommend.

I highly recommend this company for their standard of work and customer care. Photographs were taken and videos made of the job before, during and after the work was completed and each stage explained to me in lay person's terms. Specialising in bathroom and kitchen transformations, we are experienced in all areas of the industry including office interiors, school washrooms, bespoke receptions, partitioning, tea points, structural alterations, garage conversions, etc .Nigel and Barry Lawrence are descendants of the Lawrence family builders of Maidstone; (R. Lawrence & sons) which began building and contracting in 1903. CSCS cards (Construction safety) and DRB checks held, plus all necessary liability insurances . City and Guilds trained at Bucks University College in cabinet making. Recommendation "We have recently employed NML Contracts to undertake work on our house of a challenging nature and for which the usual jobbing builder and plumber declined to quote. NML Contracts have demonstrated skills and initiative in dealing with the unexpected and produced a thoroughly satisfactory and pleasing result which has materially improved the attractiveness and serviceability of the house . The work included incorporating a porch into the lounge area , requiring an RSJ some 4.4m in length, In the course of construction t was found that the roof was concrete and was supported by the outer skin of the house, whereas the roof of the house was conventional timber and was supported by the inner skin. It was therefore necessary to use the RSJ to support the concrete and provide suitable timber supports for the main roof . This was done most expertly and quickly and was approved by the building inspectors. All energy conservation requirements were fully met . One of the roofers arrived (on time) and after inspection of the roof gve us a very competitive quote. Having agreed price, date and time to start the work, they arrived on time and immediately started working. Throughout the day they were considerate as they had to access the roof via the house, ensuring that everything was left clean and tidy. You would not think you had just spent a whole day with roofrees in the house as the roof looked like new (solar reflective paint). Would recommend this firm as a unit providing a service without being "ripped off", as you paid the price agreed with no add-ons.
