George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Not worth 5 star rating, in my opinion. Cancelled appointment 30 minutes before due time. Came out twice, first time to take a look, second time to bring sample. Said he would get back to with price with expected start next week. Heard nothing, he finally answered one of my texts saying didn't reply as materials had gone up and the job would cost another £1000. Did not even have the courtesy of letting me decide if it was too much to pay or to choose something less expensive. Very disappointed.

We found Darren a very reliable, professional and hardworking tradesman. The job of removing an old damp Victorian floor and relaying with concrete ready for tiling, was completed in good time and within budget despite unexpected problems with the foundations. He salvaged as many old tiles as possible to reuse and he gave us good advice and information when necessary. The site was left clean and tidy and all materials removed. Altogether an excellent job. We provide various services including underfloor heating and floor sreeeding, bricklaying, driveways, turfing,fencing, patios, roofing and driveway cleaning and resealing. PL insured and cscs cpcs certified. Over the last 3 years i have been working on train sidings refurbishment in manchester and new build house and been on checkatrade, but back on rated people again now.
