Archie was fantastic. He deserves the five stars given. Not only did he come in at the budget provided, but communicated several times and promptly on text and email. He arrived on time and even though we had supplied him with what a keylock company had said we needed - it was wrong - he went out and got the correct locks that were needed for the job and never charged extra or anything. He sent us an invoice after the job and we paid him. Simple. What a joy to get 5 star service in the current climate.

I have been in this double glazing for over 35years . Manufacting / fitting and the last 17 years service engineer for a large double glazing company . I always look to repair first before saying new window /door is needed . I can upgrade door locks if same cant be found . I repair leaks on conservatory / door / windows. If you want New Windows or Doors and Conservatories i can do . I Have Liabiliy insurance cover.

I believe everyone has a calling and mines been in residential and commercial construction from small to big projects and everything in between and soon will help with yours. So I've been in carpentry since I left school and all other aspects of the building trade. Worked in some beautiful places doing first and second fix carpentry, maintenance and joinery and have good experience in site work private work and construction. Quick reply but the job was not done properly. Screws were not installed correctly and 2 of them were missing the screw heads. I had to call another carpenter to fix it.

Shortly after finishing our renovation the floor began to lift, after a 2-year battle and almost court they admitted it was a fitting fault. Not ideal for a 12k job. Now our sink has fallen in, turns out he has used the world's smallest bit of wood and some sealant to fix it to the underside of our granite worktops rather than correctly fitting it using the fixings on the actual sink. Add to this, gaps between drawers and misaligned cupboards and you get the idea.

I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!
