I had a lot of work done today - curtain rails put up, a rather drastic painting and filling in job to be done in the main room where an old fashioned radiator had been taken out, etc. The painting job was of real concern to me as this is a newly refurbished flat with no clue left as to what shade was used on the walls, but the match is faultless. But he spoke with such authority and knowledge about his trade that it was impossible not to choose him. This decision proved to be well founded. Once apprenticed to a well known local decorating firm, and with formal City & Guilds qualfications, Pat worked with such an air of confidence and competence.
