Geoff turned up on time, well presented van, well prepared, and got on with the tasks quickly. The work was varied, and he tackled all intelligently and diligently, completing more than I had hoped in the one day. Since then he has been back for two more days, and although I haven't been on site to check, again seems to have completed more than I had hoped. Didn't give the Job to Gareth, however this was not a reflection on anything about Gareth. He was prompt polite and knowledgeable, it just came down to me needing the bottom price even though Gareth's quote was very competitive. I had to go with the cheapest for me.
