We decided to contract Hugh to replaster the front room in our normal sized and quite dated terraced house. After giving us a very reasonable quote the job then turned out to be far more difficult than we all first thought, but the end price was still extremely reasonable given the work that had to be done. The end result and work quality is top notch, Hugh is a real professional and totally trustworthy. We will be employing him again for the rest of our house.
Our quote was higher than others as we quoted to coat the stairs three times with a high quality varnish because they were in such a bad way, however the customer did not want to pay for this so we kindly matched the other quote, and this was only to put one coat of mid range varnish on. As with all previously painted low grade pine to achieve a good even finish you need to build on the layers and this customer did not want to pay for this. On finishing this job we had advised the customer that additional coats were needed and offered to do them at a reduced price. The flooring as mentioned by the customer is good and we also matched a lower quote for this.
Stewart my work partner and myself Adam, combined have over 60 years experience in the building industry. Where and when appropriately we have an electrician and plumber on the team that can competently carry out works and sign off respectively. Responded very promptly to my ad and came within days to start the job. They had to order special materials, and Xmas and New Year intervened, but once the holiday was over, they were back at the task. Robert re-pointed the front boundary wall as necessary providing an excellent finish. Worked continuously and completed the job quickly. Left the site in a clean and tidy condition. Very pleased with newly installed sliding patio doors. The 2 gentlemen who installed it, were polite,friendly and helpful. They left the area clean and tidy. There was a slight problem with the lock, and they duly reported it to Louis Harbison. He came today to replace it but the barrel of the lock seems ok now. He is keeping the replacement barrel in case I have any more trouble. I would recommend this company for any work to be done
