The job started as refurbishing a kitchen extension. Nik and his guys worked quickly and paid attention to detail. Nik came up with the best possible layout given the space. I liked the way he worked so he ended up refurbishing the whole house. He made use of the materials and fixed things that needed fixing as he went along all within the quoted price. Fatjon did the most fantastic job installing my bespoke Plantation Shutters into the bay window of my Victorian cottage. He was punctual, considerate, polite & the level of his craftsmanship was first class. The shutters look amazing & so much better than I had expected because of his finishing touches. Truly awful experience. The garage conversion was ok (bar the space around the electrical back boxes being stuffed with newspaper) but the flat refurbishment was a disaster. It started ok but as the tasks became more complex, the quality of work declined. The kitchen needed 3 fits, the bathroom has had to be rebuilt, the wiring has dropped into the walls, the joinery is execrable and the radiators don’t work. The job also took 16 weeks rather than 8.

Ken was by far the most professional builder that came round to quote for the work. He explained what would be required to complete the work. Including building regs and structural engineer requirements. Therefore we were pleased that ken's quote was slightly cheaper than the others we recieved. The work was completed to agreed timescales and a very high standard with minimal impact and fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending ken and will contact him first before posting a job for future planned work
I'd highly recommend John. He managed our expectations well from the start - turned up on time to quote, delivered a quote the next day as promised, provided references when we asked for them (who backed up that he's a good builder), found a space in his schedule quickly to fit our job in, did it quickly, efficiently and leaving no mess afterwards. And charged us a reasonable amount for the work. Couldn't speak more highly of him, and will definitely ask him to quote on our extension when we progress with the planning.
