Mid Kent Landscaping & Property Maintenance
Hired to replace pointing of existing patio. We were not expecting it to look like new patio. Initial attempt was very poor so refused to pay. Second attempt was superficially OK although have subsequently discovered that some of the pointing is soft and easily washes out leaving unsightly sand and cement on surface of patio that we are still trying to clean off. Gaps are now appearing that will need to be filled. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately, Ben tried to add on an £80.00 additional charge at the end of the job. This had not been mentioned at all during the two day job and I was very disappointed that this was how he chose to conduct business instead of being upfront in his approach. On first impressions the job seemed good and to a high standard. However, on a closer inspection there were a number of areas, which were harder to reach, that they decided not bother with, and which we finished off ourselves. I would not use this company again.

Ken was very accommodating and did an excellent job in clearing all the brambles and trying to return our garden to its former glory at our buy to let. He also fixed a soil pipe issue and removed furniture left over by an ex tenant. He turned all this around in a day and rescheduled work to accommodate us. I would highly recommend him. So I've been in carpentry since I left school and all other aspects of the building trade. Worked in some beautiful places doing first and second fix carpentry, maintenance and joinery and have good experience in site work private work and construction. I have lots of photos of my work and a full professional 18 volt toolkit so no need for leads trailing all over your property. Quick reply but the job was not done properly. Screws were not installed correctly and 2 of them were missing the screw heads. I had to call another carpenter to fix it.

These guys worked hard to complete a job that required a great deal of physical effort since there was no access for machinery for digging or earth moving. Cleaning up at the end of the work could have been better. Although the finished work looked very good we are still waiting for George to replace the paving slabs that he said he would replace which were broken in their haste to leave on completion of the job - Nothing but excuses so far, hence the average rating.
