Griggs Home Improvements mainly specialise in Extensions, Loft conversions and refurbishments from start to finish. We cover everything from pouring footings to plastering the walls. Nice team of guys. Good price. 1 or 2 slight niggles but nothing to make a big fuss about. Kept informed from before start to after finished, so follow up was good. Overall will get them back to price for 2 other jobs that are pending, so that should say it all. Would have marked as 4.5 stars but that didn't seem to allow that input on the app?

Main task of laying wood was top class. Reasons for the mixed review: - As part of cost, was promised beading that would colour match the wood, but he turned up with different colour beading and it was left to me to varnish it - door needed to be trimmed because the wooden floor was at a raised height - was cut incorrectly. He promised to return and fix the door and lay a bridge to the carpeted hallway if I paid him in full which I did. Despite me following up, he never returned which I find dishonest.

Arrived approx 1 hour after phoning. Team of 3 worked hard. Work was a good quality and they stayed late to finish the job. Cleaned well after finishing.
They were very dodgy and unreliable. They took all the agreed money but never came back to finish the job. I was left without a kitchen, cooking utilises and drinking water for two whole months as no other builders were willing to pick up the mess they left behind. The garden was a complete mess with concrete and heavy building rumble. I strongly advise people to be wary of hiring them.

Csaba was very efficient, professional, and kind. He provided a quote when he said he would. He responded to my texts. He diagnosed what would be needed quickly and was reasonable on price. He came when he said he would. He took the amount of time he said it would take: 1 day. The shower was beautiful. As with all building work, there are sometimes things that were unexpected. He came and sorted those out very quickly. In short, it was a great experience. Highly recommended.

George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. The company main reception also seems to be a virtual reception so you can never speak with anyone helpful
Jason came to provide me a new lawn, as the previous was installed very poorly. The end result is fantastic, but for me it was the craftsmanship on display up to that point that really impressed me. Jason and his team were professional throughout the job and also provided an excellent service at a not-so-expensive outlay. I throughly recommend Jason, and he is a good person to add. Well done and great work!

A bit of a let down. Promises of doing all I asked, when it came to finishing, some jobs done, some done shoddily and some not done at all. Left terrible mess and did not take the rubbish despite promising to do so. Do not pay them before they finish is my advice

2 week job to lay a patio took 6 weeks. Poor weather was a factor but this ‘builder’ did not own a van or even a cement mixer so was regularly delayed waiting for deliveries. Main complaint is their failure to honour their guarantee to fix numerous paving slabs which became loose < 3 months after completion. If you have a choice go elsewhere.

We hired Bogdan and his son to assemble and move some furniture. They did an absolutely fantastic job with the most impressive attitude! We immediately hired them for more work and then twice again. Every time every single thing was impeccable. We were also very impressed how both of them showed a lot of care for our property and made very sensible suggestions for improvements which we have now successfully implemented. ??????????

came on 21st july, gave estimate and agreed job. said panels would be ready in 5 days. eventually fitted on 21st august, 30 days later One panel faulty(not noticed by john hall). Replaced this panel a week later, when he had to reverse panels, mas they had been fitted the wrond way round!!.
