George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. Hired this tradesperson all went well for a short time - his team walked out on him and he could not get the appropriate trades to complete various stages of the build - after complaining about the constant delays he stated he would not come back and is now in breech of his contract- due to his inability to obtain the relevant tradespeople his plumbing “expertise” has now caused a leak underneath our newly fitted kitchen floor! Which we are having to pay to repair! Disgraceful!

I have been trading as MJ Griifiths for nearly 30 years now . My father was a gas engineer and I initially trained with him and got my City & Guilds qualifications. I branched into building a few years later in a partnership with a school friend who was a carpenter. Together we estabalished a Building , plumbing and heating company covering all aspects of the trade. The partnership no longer exists but M J Griffiths does ! Its fair to say that I am a very experienced all rounder who specalises in Heating and plumbing, all gas work and servicing , bathroom installations etc . We mainly only carry out associated building works now a days to go along with say a bathroom installation where we would do studwork, boarding , skimming , carpentry, tiling etc. My company does not have to use other trades for things like this enabling us to keep costs down with no delays waiting for other trades. My son James has qualified as a gas engineer 6 years ago and has worked with me for 10 years. Now we have on board my youngest son Max as an apprentice , studying at Trowbridge college on day release. We install Worcester boilers if possible and are due to be Worcester acredited this autumn . We also install other makes of boilers if the budget requires. We also specalize in design , supply and installation of bathrooms. We take the strain , not our customers !
Mark did a great job fitting our new gas boiler. He was reliable and worked hard to get the job done on time. Mark was professional and accomodating throughout and his building skills came in very handy in making good following the removal of our old boiler, meaning that we didn't have to find a seperate builder to do that side of things. My first two builds were complete builds from the ground up, so I had to seek out and get trades on-site to complete work I didn’t have the skills for. Over time I have carried out all sorts of work over the past few years from Setting out a site, Groundworks, Blockwork, Construction, Timber work/studding, Plaster boarding, Fitting kitchens and Bathroom, as well as Wooden Flooring and Tiling, and of course decorating. I leave plumbing, electrical work and plastering to the trades ( and have good contacts ) – but I have a good eye for detail but enjoy fitting kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting, and painting.

although we didn't choose Steve to do the job, I would like to say that he arrived promptly and gave an itemised quote within 12 hours. he was also very cheerful despite the freezing cold day, and we wish him well with his business in the future. I cannot really rate steves work as I haven't seen it hence the 'satisfactory' and I have rated his reliability based on his prompt contact and quote.
