Harry came and assessed the job and we agreed a price. Came one day later to start job due to previous job overrunning. Commenced work of taking gutters down then said he would need an extra £1500 for drip trays and I refused and Harry said well how much can you pay? We eventually settled on £750 . Work appears to be of good standard and the lads were very polite. But not happy I was asked to pay extra and think job hadn’t been assessed properly. When asked to pay Harry not keen on Credit card option.

Whilst fairly pleased with the work, the renderer (Anatoly), did not place scaffold back into existing location. A scaffold ladder was left hanging by a single clip. Bars and boards not returned closer to the building leaving huge gaps. Red brick dust has stained 4 days after completion. The disgraceful condition of the scaffold is gross in my opinion

!! Highly recommended !! 5 star rating given for an excellent transformation of my hallway, stairs and landing, which required all walls to be skimmed and sanded prior to paintwork due to the poor condition of the walls when paper was removed. Spyros always arrived before start time, would stay longer when necessary if in the middle of a specific part of the job, cleared away all debris each day, vacuumed thoroughly and kept me fully informed of the additional costs incurred (skim/sand). DB Building Conservation specialises in the use of lime plasters for the repair of listed and period buildings. We are period property experts. We have extensive experience of lime plastering, render and traditional materials such as lath and plaster and wattle and daub. We also undertake repointing and wall repairs with flint and clunch. I have an MSc in Building Conservation and can advise on many aspects of the care and renewal of traditional buildings whether listed or not. Issues such as damp and insulation in old properties are a speciality. We can also recommend and liaise with other tradespeople who are qualified to repair historic timber, brick and stone. Dan did such a great job with our 17th century lime wall. Painstakingly removing the modern repair without damaging the surrounding plaster and then re-lathing and finishing with lime plaster. You can hardly see where the repair is even though we didn't skim the whole wall to preserve wall paintings. Very clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, highly recommended.
