Fantastic set of builders. They undertook extensive repairs to the roof, guttering and chimney stacks, all to an excellent standard. Internally, they removed and disposed of the plaster from two large rooms, plaster-boarded and skimmed, again to an excellent standard – the plaster is as smooth as marble! They also resolved ad hoc problems as they came to light, at no extra cost. They cleaned up after each day’s work (including the pavement outside) and removed all debris. And … they finished the job on time and on budget. Being new to the area, I had been wary of employing unknown builders. But I have been left impressed beyond all expectation!

Very helpful & professional. On a job to install a shower, went that extra mile to also fit a support for the shower curtain rail for no extra charge - and the charge for the job-proper was very reasonable too. In these days when finding a decent & reliable plumber is hard, I'm definitely keeping hold of his business card.

AW Home and Garden expressed an interest in doing work on our guttering and downspout and replacing a post for our washing line After a conversation with them we agreed a date and cost for the work. They arrived at the agreed time and asked about the job to ensure that they understood exactly what we wanted. Throughout the work they showed great consideration for us and our property. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

My job was the exterior painting of my house. Between quoting for the job and completion was over a month due entirely to some of the wettest, windiest weather we have had in a long time. I had regular updates from Vince apologising for the weather and as soon as the weather improved Vince was on the job and it was completed promptly to a high standard. A neat and tidy job with all waste taken care of. I would definitely use Vince for any future painting jobs. In short a top quality job at a fair price.

Tony was extremely efficient, polite, hard working and willing to tackle the job immediately, He even offered to work on a bank holiday and to travel an hour to do the job. His price was very fair. I am very pleased with the result of his work and. would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Simon came with sort notice to fix a plumbing issue unresolved by another plumber. He diagnosed the problem and came back to fix the part required. The price is very reasonable, he was on time, polite and is not on our phone contacts as our newreliable local plumber in Windermere. Jill

Got in touch really quickly & had the quote same day they came to discuss the job... had the work done, though had to wait on some scaffolding to be put up (don't forget to add that to your budget if you have a extension/conservatory)... communication was excellent all along the line, knowing the situation, timings, etc.. Work completed with only a couple of hiccups, but nothing major... definitely will use again...

Done an excellent job of installing new boiler, radiators and pipes. From quote to completion everything went smoothly. Communication was spot on and Scott arranged all the necessary trades to get this job completed in one day. Banter was pretty good too. Would definitely use again.

Jim and his son worked on my roof and gutters , Did a really good job they are genuine tradespeople they explained everything that needed to be done and give me a accurate quote they came to my home when they said they would and got on with the job, pleased with the workmanship, would certainly have no hesitation in using McMillans again!
