The team first gave a competative quote for the work. A good start! They turned up on time, and then paid attention to my requirements before starting the job. They worked hard and efficiently together to get the job done. 7:30 AM to 18:00 without a break. The result was to professional standards. Would I recommend them? Yes, very much so! In fact I'm already planning to get them back to do another project for me. I think that statement really says it all.

Attended promptly but did not conplete all the work I asked for. Just changed a fuse and replaced a light switch. When I asked him to return to complete the work he was very reluctant to do so.

Liam was extremely hard working and courteous throughout this project (stud wall with top glazing panels). I would happy recommend him for similar construction jobs.

A difficult job in a very old building. Plenty of communication prior to fitting of non-standard door and frame. Work carried-out to instructions. Will use again. Highly recommended.

Rob did an excellent job replacing the storage heaters with electric heaters and installing a new one in the kitchen. He was incredibly patient and took the time to help me find the perfect heater that matched the look I was going for. I highly recommend him and will definitely reach out again for future work. They were quick to offer the job and the agreed price was very competitive. Job could not be done on the day specified, however re-scheduled at a later date, communication was good and kept me informed. On the day the team arrived on time and did a great job, many thanks.

Quoted by e-mail and arrived as promised. Allan & assistants completed the job to a v.good standard. All moss build up removed and roof treated. They were also thorough in leaving the area clean & tidy afterwards. Quote rated as average for this type of work. I have no hesitation in recommending McNicol to other homeowners.

I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!
