Firstly, the new composite decking was done extremely well by Alf and his team. Great communication from him and cannot fault anything thing him or his team did. But, since the decking was done there have now been two occasions that one of the decking lights have failed. 1st defect was a wiring issue which was resolved by the electrician Conor, the current fault has now been resolved. John and Dane were fantastic - highly recommend Chaucer Paving! Excellent standard of work, turned up early every day and got the job done in very difficult circumstances (covid pandemic) right up to / immediately after the UK lock down, and observed social distancing respectfully at all times. Helpful, polite, hard-working, reasonably priced and did a great job. I look forward to calling John again when we need a new fence out the front. Thanks guys! (job was laying new patio/fencing/gate/shed base)

Simon did a great job for me on my flooring/ skirting and tiling. There were some unexpected costs as i needed more jobs doing and other bits which simon recommended but all was doing in a great way. I would use simon again and will recommend him to others.

Jim was friendly, reliable, and great value for money. The work took a couple of days longer than expected due to the density of the mortar in our brickwork but this didn't affect the original quote and it was great to have a tradesman who got on with his work but also happy to chat and explain the whole process.

They deserve good marks all round. The quote was extremely reasonable and competitive. Once we agreed the job, they turned up on the day, on time! After meeting Johnny I got him to quote for a much bigger job, comprising of a huge area of paving with a big concrete base for a garden house as well as the driveway extension, laying of cabling and adding a soak away and drainage. I was apprehensive due to the size of the job & the expenditure involved but I chose J Ward over others that have done work for me before. I couldn’t be more pleased with how things turned out, the work ethic of the team was unreal. Johnny is a true professional.

Jason came to provide me a new lawn, as the previous was installed very poorly. The end result is fantastic, but for me it was the craftsmanship on display up to that point that really impressed me. Jason and his team were professional throughout the job and also provided an excellent service at a not-so-expensive outlay. I throughly recommend Jason, and he is a good person to add. Well done and great work!
