George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. The initial estimate for replacing two roofing tiles was £150. However, upon inspection, additional necessary work was identified. Instead of providing a revised quote, the contractor proceeded with the extra tasks and invoiced me for £1950. To exacerbate the situation, the quality of the work left much to be desired. The newly installed tiles were of a completely different color, and the sealing standard near the ridge was notably unprofessional.
