Hi, I am a carpenter, I have my own workshop, I make doors to order, I repair and make sash windows for historical buildings, I build stairs in various traditional styles, I build furniture, I have renovated 4 houses from the 17th century, I have restored the same details in the original, etc. I do a lot more other craft work

We manufacture and fit certified fire-doors full time. Hi I’m Matthew, I work at a fire door firm, any work I can bring in for myself or the firm is ideal. With new door installs we aim to survey, manufacture & fit within 2 weeks, (door number dependant). Tools & vans & labour is a given. We take on and firedoor works (remedials & new installs) , and any related fire works I.e. firestopping and fire rated partitions / ceilings. We work to a high standard given that fire-doors have strict tolerances and product specifications. We only use the correct products (mastic & A1 / firebatt and blue 60 foam where allowed) and fire-rated ironmongery. We include a report with our works which includes before, during and after photos with any comments / suggestions relating to fire safety. Work in mostly with contracts on care homes and student accommodation, tidiness and quality work is guaranteed - always willing to go back. Working with contracts, there can be breaks in-between phases of works smaller jobs are perfect as well! My teams is respectful, with tons of experience and willing to go the extra mile for tenants/ landlords clients all the same. Years of experiences in the firm - personally been on firedoors full time for 4 years. Have all the related courses, worked on prisons, military bases, care homes , student accommodation all over the UK fitting doors & fire rated partitions ceilings & firestopping works. Work alongside joiners with over 40 years experience and electricians with their own firms. Personal qualifications include: joiner nvq level2 (5yrs), (currently getting my black card), FIRAS certified fire-door fitter, asbestos, manual handling, working at heights, first aider & CRB checked ??. Before I was an apprentice joiner I was a fixer’s apprentice for 2 years (drywall & MF). Work with a number of joiners and electricians, work outside our scope is also welcome! I have completed the level 3 Advanced Modern Apprenticeship at college, along with the City & Guilds awards and many other certificates. I'm experienced in all aspects of my trade. This includes fully fitted bedroom furniture and wardrobes, fitting doors internal and external, fitting kitchens and kitchen repairs, different types of flooring, skirtings and architraves, repairing or replacing window and door locks, stair and balustrade replacement and repairs, flat pack furniture, making and repairing garden gates, making and repairing sheds, carports, etc. I can also make and build anything you can think of. All of the window sills internally he done for me where really bad also. He did give me £100 refund. But that didnt even cover the cost for a building notice. Dave is a nice genuine fella who did go out of his wat to come back and clean windows and showed willingness. Everyone has there bad days so hopefully this was just one of Dave's. Sorry about feedback but unfortunately i choose my tradesmen via feedbacks and unfair on other people to hear all positves and no negatives
