James asked plenty of questions, to ensure the best end result possible, and he did not attempt to 'up-sell' me on additional work. Now completed, it is obvious that James and his team took real care to do the best job possible. GLS hold themselves to high standards, and I would recommend them without a second thought. After setting Jac Jones Cons. what at first seemed like a simple straightforward job they continued to do everything they possibly could to complete what turned out to be possibly the hardest job they had ever taken on. Not only did they show up every day on time but they turned up with a smile on their faces and worked hard constantly. Their work rate and quality of workmanship is second to none and won't stop until not only you but they are happy with the final product. Would recommend without question!

Family run business. Have been a bricklayer for 30 years and now my son has followed in my foot steps. I have always been proud of my work especially conservation. I have recently joined rated people because I have had enough of the site work and feel its time to slow down and offer my experience to private work. I have done private work in the past and always ensured works were completed on time,at a reasonable rate and took pride in my work. I am a registered company and can be found on company house. Barry and his brother-in-law Rob worked very hard paving my drive and did a first rate job. They are both friendly, courteous and trustworthy. They started on time, didn't cut any corners and the materials they used were better quality than I had anticipated. The final cost was actually cheaper than quoted. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will be inviting them to quote for any future building work that I need doing. (PS. calling himself a "handyman" undervalues his expertise).

We are very happy to recommend this company.They were excellent and the team were a real pleasure to deal with and have around. They gave a detailed quote and gave good advice helping us stay in budget without losing quality or the end design. They underestimated the number of days the work would take but we were happy to negotiate the cost - no pressure from them to do this, but we could see where the time was spent. Communication was also excellent & they turned up on time every time. Delighted!

As a single woman you tend to feel a bit like a gazelle being stalked by lions when dealing with tradesmen. However Damien was professional from the outset which gave me some peace of mind.
