George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Hired this tradesperson all went well for a short time - his team walked out on him and he could not get the appropriate trades to complete various stages of the build - after complaining about the constant delays he stated he would not come back and is now in breech of his contract- due to his inability to obtain the relevant tradespeople his plumbing “expertise” has now caused a leak underneath our newly fitted kitchen floor! Which we are having to pay to repair! Disgraceful!

I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!
Tim was not able to start the work immediately but as it was not urgent we were happy to wait and he kept us updated on his expected start date.

I have over 15yrs experience in the painting and decorating trade and I had my own business in Brighton and Hove. I now live in Dorset and have had my business DP Handy Neighbour for 3 yrs. I specialise in painting and decorating, all internal and external jobs, but I also have skills with tiling, carpentary, flooring and i have recently completed a course and am fully trained in the fitting of Geberit wash and dry toilets. I have certificates in Health and safety, NVQ level 1 and have NVQ level 2 in painting and decorating. I absolutely love what i do and there is no job too big or too small.
