Plumber arrived at the time quoted. Diagnosed the problem with the valve swiftly and set out his suggestion/plan. Valve that needed replacing not manufactured anymore so he said he would have to find an alternative, which I thought meant him coming back another day - but No!, returned within an hour or so and fitted a new valve and reworked the pipework so the new valve fitted into the space. Very little mess left and a successful job - water pressure amazing now!!

Not happy with this plumber. Charging by the hour, he tried to drain tank slowly by using siphon into sink at the same level until I intervened. My suggestion of a long hose out of window drained the tank in double quick time. End result of his action: Now got a blockage in my sink drainage with sediment from tank and outcome of original job unsuccessful.
