There may be a little confusion. The door you purchased second hand already had the hinges cut from the opposite side from where it was originally hung. I cut the excess height from the door from the top so that the lock that was also already previously cut out from the door would line up with your existing catch so I didn't have to cut another lock out leaving a large void in the door.

The 3 hours included me travelling and purchasing a lock to fit as you had also bought the incorrect door furniture. I didn't add this extra time to the bill.

I don't have evidence to show 100% about the hinges, Kevin, so I acknowledge your comment. You have also acknowledged to me that you were at the house for over 5 hours, not 3 as you suggest above. I still would have liked you to consult me before cutting the door, as this could not be undone once you had cut it. The altered bathroom door was still worse than before and the lock you went to purchase still didn't work after you spent a long time fitting it.I hope you can acknowledge that these are facts.

I would also like to add that the shop you travelled to to buy the lock is just one mile from my house so did not add an inordinate amount of time to the day. I thanked you on the day for offering to do this for me. I hope we can draw a line under this now. I still stand by my rating as I was not happy with your work and that is my prerogative as a customer.

Iv hung hundreds of doors and if I'd have cut it as you were saying your lock rail would have been over 4inches lower than the rest of your doors in your house. I cut top and bottom to get the door uniform to the doors on your landing. You also would have had a huge hole in the style.

Let's agree to disagree, you are the expert in this situation and so I can't argue. I've amended my rating accordingly to reflect what you've stated here. Let's now draw a line under it.
