Gas Cooker / Hob - Installation
Within 3 minutes of entering my house, the Da Pre gas fitter pulled my oven door off its hinge, whilst trying to take the oven out of its casing. I did tell him there was actual handles for taking it out but he ignored me. He then decided to try and fix it and spent the best part of 30 minutes trying to put the door back on, which he hasn't done properly. My partner and I were shocked with his total ignorance to our property, especially when he tried to suggest that maybe there was something wrong with the oven door in the first place, considering we bought it only a few weeks and it was a top brand (Smeg) cooker. We told him that and we both watched him break it and we didn’t want him to fit our gas hob as we felt he was a liability and we don’t want him cutting our gas pipes for our own safety. We asked him to leave our property and he pathetically apologised and didn’t offer to get the oven door repaired. He then returned back at our house 20 minutes later asking for the chance to repair the oven, I said no, I didn’t want him to touch it, he then asked me to sign a worksheet saying I didn’t want him to do the job in my house, which I refused to sign. Why couldn’t he just apologies properly and offer to pay for the damage he had caused to our brand new cooker, thanks a lot Da Pre Services!
