DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER. We hired Dave for the plumbing on the renovation of our new house. This included new radiators, new boiler (fitted by another gassafe plumber not Dave as he's not registered), fit new downstairs loo, fit new bathroom, and due to complications new cylinder and pumps. We thought we had a good relationship with Dave as he turned up on time, worked hard and seemed conscientious. The problems started after the job had finished and he had been paid in full. The hot water system was still not commissioned (I shouldn't have paid him until this had been done, but I've learned now), and more worryingly the boiler had not been commissioned. There was also a leak from the downstairs wc sink. These were to be completed by Dave on the last day but he never turned up and a series of excuses ended up with Dave never coming back. Two days after moving in a wet patch appeared on the kitchen ceiling and progressively got worse. We tried to call Dave but by now he had decided not to answer our calls. He did agree to pay for another plumber to complete/fix the job. To date we've not seen a penny. We got the leak fixed which was caused by bad soldering under the shower tray. We had to contact Gas Safe to get Dave to respond to our request for getting the boiler and hot water working, and eventualy the boiler fitter came out (and even thought Dave was out of his depth on the job). He even said he was trying to contact us to arrange this but Dave told him he didnt have our number, which is a lie as he has it stored in is phone under don't answer! Now, we've noticed another leak in the lounge ceiling. I would call Dave but he wouldn't answer, and I wouldn't want him anywhere near this house again. Since moving we've noticed that the standard of workmanship is poor on the bathroom fittings, shower enclosure and bathtaps (set in wall), which are now leaking and finished messily. Again we're getting another plumber to fix this and will be sending the bill to Dave - which he's agreed to pay but I've not seen it yet. Rest assured Dave, I will be taking this to the small claims court as it costs me nothing through my home insurance. In summary, Dave seems like a lovely guy, but in reality is not up to the job and is not good to his word. Assuming his excuses are true its still no reason to treat people like this.

David made contact quickly and arranged a suitable appointment with me to provide a quote. David reconfirmed the appointment and kept to the arrangements. He was polite and courteous and respected our home environment. David provided a quotation which was accepted and we agreed a start date and time. David arrived on time, equipped with materials to complete the work. His pricing was fair and I actually asked him to do further work whilst he was here, which he was happy to do for a revised price. David cleared away all waste materials, leaving no mess. I would be more than happy to recommend him and will certainly employ his services again in the future. Thank you David, it's rare to find someone professional and reliable these days.

although david did a great 1st job for us he was meant to do another job and let us down badly so im afraid the reliabilty part has to take a hit.
Complete Bathroom Refurbishment
DO NOT USE THESE SERVICES AT ALL!!! We were quoted for the job by Mr Morris who gave a very competive price for the work. He and his associate Ian arrived on time and promised to complete the job in three days which was vital for us needing the work done for the weekend. However after finishing the job, we were not able to review the job in detail as we couldn't walk on the tiles to check fully, but trusted the work and paid. However, since then we have found: Cracked and loosely fitted floor tiles (since we have discovered they were not put under fibrewood) after being informed by him for 10 minutes on what needed to happen. The bath taps were not enabled so after pulling off the bath side panel off, we crawled underneath to turn on the valve. The bath taps leak continually and do not shut off properly creating awful pressure vibrating noises * The towel rail leaks with us having to put a jug underneath to collect the water * Due to the bath taps, water now gathers under the bath * The ripped out bathroom was left outside our house despite agreeing to clear this as part of the deal. Eventually we have to collect it in the snow and take it to the tip. The next day we contacted Mr Morris to find out his phone was not taking voicemails, he eventually contacted us to apologise that he had been away. After this, we spent a further three weeks trying to get confirmation from him on when he would be back to correct the work. The reasons why this did not occur consisted off a broken phone, failure to answer the phone when it was working, broken fan on the van, car accident, no reception where he was and also none of his 'several' workers were available either to come round. We have tried to resolve it amicably to no avail and have since have two other seperate plumbers come in to fix it who were appaled at the work. We have to instruct another plumber (not connected to him) to sort out the above problems at cost. Both plumbers confirmed the issues were very poor standard. This is not a case of us being picky but we have been left with a bathroom that we can not use. It has caused great upset to us a couple and feel really unhappy that it has got to the stage.

I find these comments totally unacceptable, yes we were given 3 day's to complete a full make over of your bathroom, on completion of the job yourself and your partner were given the opportunity to view the bathroom before any payment was made both of you thoroughly checked the bathroom and were happy with the job then you made payment directly into my bank, you were told not to walk on the tiled floor as it took between 24 and 48 hours to dry, as my advice wasn't adhered to consequently tile's were broken, you also mention that the correct flooring wasn't put in place before the floor was tiled i have receipts here for the purchase of the flooring which was put in place before tilling commenced. No excuses were made for the lack of contact between ourselves only i made it clear that i wouldn't be threatend by you and all correspondance would stop if your behaviour didn 't change.
Bathroom Installation
Dave was very reliable. I only had a certain amount of time to have the job started and finished. He enusred this was done in time. He also kept me informed of what was happening throughout. I was able to continue with my daily business and he was very polite and considerate. He cleared away everything taking all the bulk to the dumps and cleaned up at the end.
