Home Maintenance / Repair
Disastrous. I had an electrician do some rewiring who left wires chased into the wall meeting regulation. Dean made several cuts into the wire by aggressively using his scraper. This short circuited the whole electric circuit and left me without electricity. Had to get an electrician to have a new circuit wired upstairs costing me hundreds! Dean accepted no responsibility, blamed the electrician, though admitting the latter met regulation. No compensation offered, not even an apology. Would avoid in future

I would not accept any form of responsibility at all it is not my issue that the tennant hired un-qualified people it had nothing to do with me the electrics was wrong and tripping out from the beginning we had to stop our work several times because of the poor work done by the electricians in the first place and will not admit blame for poor work from other trades at all,if it had been my thought I would of accepted blame and made compensation for this were needed

They were not unqualified. They met every regulation in the book. You first said the wires needed to be in conduit, but when I had this checked, you then accepted that this was not the case. You said the 'regulation had changed' but conduit was never a legal requirement, just something done for practicality. The electricity was working fine for 3 days before you came and started working. This is nothing personal just bad trademanship, which I have a moral duty to highlight to others.
