About

Hello,

I cover mainly internal aspects of plastering and all that comes with that. I have around 4 years experience working with professionals, learning from them, and around 2 years by myself with a labourer, and have been to college also.

I know most jobs quite well and what needs to be done is normally evident to me because of the wide range of jobs I have done and the experience I have, so you are in good hands.

I have had a good rapport with most customers and they have been happy, but unfortunately there are many difficult customers who will not listen if any unforseen issue arises and will sometimes expect me to do much extra work for free, and I forewarn you that if there is any rudeness and disrespect and an unwarranted untrust, I will not continue any job if I feel I am being treated in an unfair manner and I will vacate the premises if conditions are not right for me. Unfortunately I have to write this because it saves me hassle should situations arise and I walk away from the job. I am always reasonable and honest with my customers and as the saying goes, treat others as you want to be treated, I do apply that.

Thanks for reading guys,

Duncan

Dry Lining & Plasterboard - Repair

Very flexible with working around my schedule, did a first class job and very easy to have around. Fair price too, would fully recommend.

    Plaster Skimming

First class job which will enable the redecoration of the stairs and landing to be carried out after the water leak. My tenants are very happy with the work.

Dry Lining & Plasterboard - Repair

Duncan and Lorenzo reboarded and plastered a landing wall and bedroom ceiling along with a couple of smaller jobs and I couldn't be happier with the work they did. Because I don't live at the property Duncan kept in regular contact and consulted with me at certain parts of the job. They completed all the work to a great standard and for a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

          Plaster Skimming

We had our living room skimmed, it was just Duncan with a colleague who doesn't plaster. On first appearance it looked okay, he had to fill some bits. Once it'd had dried and it came to painting it required so much sanding down, filling around light switches/ edges and the coving is Blurred into the wall at points. It's such a shame as they are lovely people but it has taken us a long time to rectify, and having had a different plasterer in a few weeks prior to Duncan we could really tell the difference.

I do apologise about this, some mistakes where made by me and I recognise what has happened here. Unfortunately there was a very tricky bit to plaster by the reveals of the windows where there was an old style bead that I could not find in any of the stores, I got over ambitious and I thought I could handle that as well as another wall at the same time, sadly I was very wrong and this had a knock of effect on other areas and I hold my hands up. Shoulder even went during plastering the ceiling, very sorry.

It is a great shame for both the customer and myself as when my shoulder went I had no other plasterer to help and I was rushing terribly and I made some errors where the coving is, I was very disappointed as this has not happened to me before perhaps it was because it was the first ceiling I had done in weeks, it killed me, in hindsight I should have called on someone else to do it with. Very sorry guys.
