Quoted £35 ... Tried to fix lights. After 45 mins the problem was not sorted and the price went to £100 to fix. So did not use. The new price included new wiring.

How dare you? Spoken to customer on the phone beforehand and agreed to have a look and go from there. Found the fault to be a faulty cable, NOT faulty light as first thought,. Customer thought £100 excessive for a qualified electrician to spend over half a day to trace a fault and rewire 3 outside lights, along with getting a new supply for said circuit.
