Quoted me £200 as his day rate because we initially thought the job would take a day to complete. It actually took less than 2 hours, but he still charged me £200.00. He didn't even do a decent job; after he left, the skirting board needed another coat of paint, and I did it myself.

Quoted me two hundred pounds as his day rate because we initially thought the job would take a day to complete. But the job was completed in two hours, and he still charged me two hundred pounds. The work he did wasn't particularly thorough; after he left, the skirting board needed another coat of paint, and I did it myself.
