I am a self-employed domestic electrician now based in North-West London. I have worked independently for over 19 years as a new installation and maintenance electrician in most aspects of electrical installations. My aim is too engage in clear communication with clients holding in mind the core values of integrity and safe practice of work which will allow for customer satisfaction and confidence. I hope to establish ongoing availability to clients for future projects or the inevitability of unforeseen issues around the practical electrical needs of maintaining these systems for clients.

    External Lighting

    After one month waiting for the service, Adrian only came to inspect the situation, couldn't find the fault, and since then I've been left with no lights in my garden. Very hard to get hold of him.

      I find this to be a factually incorrect and unfair rating. I originally worked for over an hour (in the rain) to investigate this. I did not charge as more investigation was needed including lifting the garden decking. The client went on holiday so work was put on hold. On her return we arranged a time around her work. I had to postpone until the next day but this was not acceptable to the client. I have always been contactable and even offered to remain available when she decided to cancel my services.

      I’m just replying to this because I seriously don’t understand how you can reply with these comments. So I’ll just state the facts: * I posted an ad which to you replied on the 2nd June. On that text thread I asked if you’d come over to my flat to just have a look at the lights in my garden and provide a quote, or to actually fix the issue. You said, you’d fix the issue. We then agreed you’d come to my flat on Friday the 7th.

      * In the morning, you texted me and asked if you could come in the afternoon since it looked like the weather would be better (I agreed to it - even if that meant I had to stay at home for the day). After coming to my flat, you couldn’t find the problem (it was raining too), and so you left. Before you left, you said to please keep an eye on the lights as you had done something and they should stay on. After a couple of hours, the lights went off. You said you’d then come over the weekend.

      Over the weekend you then said you couldn’t come on Saturday to my home (1st time you said you’d come and you didn’t). I asked if you could come on Sunday, which you said no too (I’d not usually expect anyone to work on Sundays, but you had said to me before leaving my flat that you could come either Sat or Sun).

      Then I went on holiday that week and came back on the 18th June. I did say I’d be back on the 18th June, so I thought you’d have that in mind (but you didn’t). When I came back I asked you when you’d be free to come; but you said that from the 19th to the 22nd June you could not come over. You then said you’d call me on the 22nd June to arrange an appointment - but you didn’t (another failure to arrange an appointment with you).

      In fact, you said nothing for a few days until I had to write an email on the 26th June asking whether you could come to my flat on the 27th or 28th June, as I was having a family gathering over the following weekend and wanted to have the lights fixed, for weeks now.

      You then agreed to come on the 28th June at 12:00. On the same day, you then said you weren’t sure you could make it as you were running later from another job, and now wanted to reshedule again for the following Monday! I said I much rather preferred to wait in the house for you, as long as it took, just to get it done. You said you couldn’t make it at all, and definitely had to move to the following week. I have all the text/email communications of the above conversations.

        Adrian carried out a external lighting installation for us. Excellent communication from the outset, competitive quotation with the work done to an excellent standard. Dilligent in clearing up any mess caused. Would use him again and would have no hesitation recommending him to others. Extremely affable.
