I needed a total bathroom refurbishment it was my very good fortune to find Charlie cowie online. id had four other bathroom specialists out for a quote but after 5 minutes I knew I wanted Charlie to do the refurbishment. his professionalism and eye for detail were FANTASTIC. he is also very friendly and treats your home as if it was his own. Charlie did all the work himself and left no mess at all. the finished job was truly OUTSTANDING. kitchen is the next project so you know who will be doing that.

  The company came to do a bathroom and ended up restoring the whole house. Since the house is 500 years old, not only was this a huge undertaking, it also required great sensitivity. The house had to be restored in a way that was true to its spirit, something that has been accomplished fully --- better than I could possibly have hoped. Great thought has been given to how to approach the work, what materials would be appropriate given the history of the house (which was thoroughly researched) and how these could be sourced most effectively. The understandings gained have been applied most creatively. It follows that I am delighted. All aspects of the job have been done with great skill - the sourcing, the trades themselves, the coordination and project management - and also done unobtrusively. No other jobs have been undertaking while work on the house has progressed so I haven't had to wonder when they might next be returning. They have been here every day. Quotations have been meticulous. The highest standards have been achieved. Craftsmen of the highest skill who do their work with love are hard to find. I recommend them unstintingly.

Bathroom Installation

My bathroom was recently completely re-fitted by Charlie of Cowie Creations and, right from the start, I knew I'd found someone I could work with. On Day 1, Charlie arranged to come out to see the bathroom in its original state. He spent a good long while talking to me about the plan for the project and asking questions. Later that day he emailed a 'no obligation' quote to me which listed the cost of materials and labour in detail. He also emailed his portfolio so that I could browse through it and look at other similar jobs he'd carried out. The portfolio also contained names and addresses of previous customers of Charlie who had agreed to be contacted should I wish to get a personal recommendation about him. Once I'd accepted Charlie's estimate, he set about transforming my dingy little bathroom into something really special. He made a point of keeping in touch each day â?? through emails, phone calls and text messages as well as face to face meetings - to give me an up-date on what work had been done that day, to ask for my opinion and to check that I was happy with progress. He also talked me through his intentions for the following day. He gave me helpful advice along the way and also offered several creative suggestions. Charlie is a great listener who is genuinely interested in his work. He is a skilled professional who takes pride in everything he does. In addition to this, he is friendly, reliable and flexible and he will go out of his way to be helpful and supportive. During my bathroom project he collected tiles (twice!), took responsibility for deliveries and checked these on arrival (twice!), made phone calls on my behalf and arranged for an electrician to call round to complete all electrical work.
