Celia (Jewel Gardens) was helpful with the plant selection & planting in our neglected garden. She provided a useful start to us beginner level gardeners. The advice/tips provided and communication could have been better. Deepa & Amrut

  Client had high expectations whilst having a very low budget for plants, and no knowledge about how gardens and plants evolve – it takes time to get results, particularly on a low budget. As far as communication is concerned, she ignored advice that was given well in advance, kept changing her mind until last minute and not always responded to my emails and calls. Most of the planting plan, for example, was not implemented for lack of money. I was also criticised (!) for contacting the RHS to get accurate advice on pests. She thought that it was lack of knowledge from my part. To me it was about the need to get it 100% right as they are the ultimate authority on the subject. As a member I get free advice. On a personal level, I also found the experience extremely disappointing as I went out of my way to do things that I was not supposed to. Thus, I was willing to advise her on propagating some plants so that she would spend less money. I also invited and allowed her to visit Wisley (RHS garden) - as a member I can take a guest for free. With some people, no matter what, one can never win.
