Arranged a date and time to visit, then got a text message on the day informing that they wouldn't be coming and couldn't do the work, due to a better offer.

Sorry Trevor that's not quite right. I secured regular work which meant I wasn't able to commit to any additional and therefore thought it better to let you know rather than arrive to quote and have to let you down at a later date. I called one day, organised a visit the next day and then had confirmation, I thought it better to let you know and not a better offer a more time demanding job.

With the timescales involved and the fact I let you know as soon as possible, and that you have not contacted me directly to complain where I could have explained further I feel your rating and comments are unfair and have asked for rated people to investigate.

There would have been no point in complaining directly. You had made it clear you had other work. I was asked by Rated People for my views and I gave them. How unfair or not is entirely subjective. As the potential customer, surely my views should be accepted and taken into account by your business be them good or bad. I do not propose to continue with this email thread. Better spending my time finding a gardener.
