Dean was very prompt with the quote and getting the works done. Also got all the photos and measurements we were after - looking forward next steps on our little project for which we will definitely be reaching out to Buildwerks again.
Garage Conversion
I am still waiting for my job to be finished. No one has bothered to respond to my last emails to sort things out. My French door is difficult to close and is not watertight. When it rains we have worms and bugs coming through along with the rainwater. We have had to employ other workmen to finish electrical work left undone. We had to have walls replastered because of the poor finish. We have photographic evidence of it all.

MB were were also supposed to be doing a garage conversion for us but have just walked away from finishing our kitchen properly and not even bothered to discuss what is happening with the garage conversion.

Hello Karen, In response to your negative review I’ve followed up on your report of a problem with your French door twice and both times when I’ve personally attended, you and your husband have appeared surprised that there is in fact nothing wrong. In relation to your electrical complaint; when the Electrician started the work he uncovered and explained to you that the wiring to the house wasn’t compliant, you have old circuits with no protection for occupants and that you would need a full rewire.

Not to mention the age of your property, your husband also advised the Electrician that the previous owner had carried out some of the wiring himself, and this was most likely the cause. Our Electrician advised you that he could carry out the work to your project safely in sections by upgrading and rewiring the kitchen onto its own circuit. You asked for the work to be carried out and this was subsequently completed. The kitchen is now safe and complies with health and safety.

Your project was completed in July 2019, at no time have you ever reported a problem with the finish of your walls; the plastering was finished on 24th May 2019. It doesn’t seem consistent that you would want us to carry out your garage conversion if you are sincerely dissatisfied with the work that we have competed for you previously.

To date, I have personally replied to your emails with the above but I cannot keep visiting your property investigating defects that aren’t there, I have asked you to send me your evidence and as yet I haven’t received any response from you. You still have an outstanding invoice for additional work that Midland Build have completed; if you could please settle this as soon as possible, thank you.
