My name is Max Akkaya and my company started with plumbing and bathroom refurbishments after graduating from my NVQ level 2 course in Heating and Ventilation.
In the last 20 years we have evolved into One Stop Design and Construction Ltd - a fully insured company that covers all aspects of home improvements such as loft conversions, extensions and bespoke refurbishments. I haven’t been on Rated People in a while as I have got all my work through recommendations, however I recently moved to Surrey so I am building my client base out here also.
I’m straight forward, honest and pride myself to giving attention to the smallest of detail. We undertake small and last scale projects and work with a team to deliver loft conversions, extensions and bespoke refurbishments including all plumbing, electrical and gas needs.

I hired this company (the Turkish proprietor likes to be called Mac) for a tiling job in my bathroom which was complicated by the involvement of the shower unit. Mac proved to be very friendly and efficient and completed the job to my complete satisfaction and at a reasonable cost. I have no hesitation in recommending him. Peter Merry
Partition Wall
Max provided a quote for a job to remove a wall and rebuild it further along, the job ended up being more complicated than planned (we moved some lighting, needed to level floors and ceilings and moving radiators) but Max was clear about the additional charges and provided a fair price. Max's communication was excellent and the cleanest builder I have met. I wouldn't hesitate getting Max to do further work or to recommend him to others.
Plumbing Repair & Maintenance
Max was quick to respond to request and did a thorough investigation, fixed the leak and left with no damage despite having to get behind tiling which was great. Very polite and kept me informed of the process throughout.

I hired Max to do a medium size bathroom refurbishment so tile and unit removal, new shower, sink, toilet, tiles. He provided very good advice on what would work and his workmanship was to the highest standard. The timetable was very tight as were going on holiday. He worked on the weekend and bank holiday Monday to get the job done on time for us. I thank him for his excellent work and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone
