Bathroom Installation
Unfortunate the job never got started . I agreed a price and a start date alas on the start date Jeremy never arrived he told me he had been having car troubles so the courtesy car he had wasn't big enough to carry his tools ! Equally he didn't know when he would get a car big enough to continue working. Very disappointed .

When I attended to quote for the work, I informed Mr Muldowney that my car was in for repairs and I was in a courtesy vehicle, too small to carry the tools necessary for the job. I informed that I would be available to carry out the work, If I was back in a vehicle suitable to do so but that I would need to confirm this. As my car was unfortunately not repaired in a timely manner, I was unable to start this job.

As Mr Muldowney wanted the work to be carried out as soon as possible, and I was unable to get a satisfactory answer from the garage, I completely understand his desire to seek another tradesman to carry out the work. I understand how disappointing this must have been and would feel the same in the same situation. I apologise and would like to stress that it is never my intention to let anyone down

In this instance, unfortunately, it was out of my hands and I am furious with the Arnold Clark motor group for putting me in this position and am in complaints procedure with them as a result. My apologies once again.
Bathroom, Kitchen and WC Plumbing
The project ended over budget and over time BUT two things to say on that. Firstly we added some additional floor tiling not even considered at the outset. Secondly Jeremy faced a huge task when it transpired the old wall and floor tiles were put in place with Cement !! not just a few dobs either. This created extra work and time. Jeremy worked solidly in a confined space to get all the old tiles removed and the preparation done. He advised on the choice of toilet . VERY pleased with the result.
Bathroom Installation
Jeremy failed to provide a written estimate of the job, and failed to keep track of costs. He didn't do full days, but then said he was charging me £150 a day as he was a fully qualified plumber. He was very, very slow, and when I let him go, a job he was going to spend all day on, took him 10 minutes to do. Very disappointing, had an attitude with my daughter, and the true Jeremy appeared when collecting his money. My daughter is reporting him to Trading Standards for exploitation of the elderly. Beware.

To answer the points above. Firstly, I am sorry that you feel the way you clearly do. It is always my intention to be as courteous and professional as possible in all circumstances. Written estimates are always available on request, however one was not requested in this instance

As the job had already been started by the client, I did give my rate for bathroom removal and refit as well as my rate for tiling but stressed that this would not be accurate in this case. I am sometimes unable to work a full day, due to my childcare commitments. When this is the case, the hours worked are tallied and the client is only charged for 8 hour days or part thereof. I spent 4 separate days on the job but the client was only charged for 2.5

All jobs are carried out as quickly as possible while ensuring a quality standard of workmanship and finish. I have no recollection being anything but pleasant with his daughter and do not know what Mr Norcup is referring to with this statement. On collection of the outstanding monies, I was slightly upset as the client had refused to pay an amendment to his materials bill, leaving me out of pocket. I have no desire to exploit anyone, young or old and am astounded that Mr Norcup feels this way about me.

I would point to my other ratings to show an accurate portrayal of my work and customer satisfaction and once again apologise if the customers expectations were not met in this instance.
- TRADESPERSON, 4/05/2016 15:54
Ps. The outstanding amount that the client refused to pay was £17.50. I had already rounded the materials cost DOWN to the nearest fiver for him also.

This is an interesting response from you, given that you phoned asking for extra money. Your documentation is poor, and you waved paper at me listing prices, but failed to provide any paperwork. An amendment to the bill? No bill was provided, no costs provided, no documentation at all, so I'm not sure how you feel it is appropriate to charge one price, then ask for more money without it feeling like exploitation? I pay my bills, and to state that I refused is wrong, any discrepancy is your fault.
Radiator
Jeremy fitted one new radiator and replaced two old ones. Very thorough and clean workmanship. I had requested fitting a wi-fi thermostat for my boiler but it transpired that the thermostat wasnt compatitble. After a lot of time and effort it wasnt possible but jeremy didnt give up and wired up an existing stat which works perfectly. I would definitely have jeremy back and would recommend his services.
