SB builders were extremely prompt in contacting us and visited to give a quote. They were pleasant and professional in all their dealings with us and the quote was competitive. We have not gone ahead with the work as we have had to delay our plans. However, we would consider using SB Builders when we go ahead with the work.

Plaster Skimming

Pains me to award SB building services with stars, even POOR ones! Began Nov 20th, still incomplete! Initial work, LOW QUALITY, SB agreed to rectify the issues. Issues are still outstanding. Scheduled attendance is constantly cancelled at great cost. Aware of the schedule to rent our property before it becomes financially unfeasible, SB have delayed + cancelled repeatedly in order to force us to seek further tradesmen so they can wash their hands of their commitment to us. Disappointed, upsetting, AVOID!

  sb building services told customer that the work that we was going to do was not 100% that it would work but customer still had us undertake the work . this did not work as we said it might not so we offerd and went back and renderd the walls again free of charge for good will to try and help . we did not have to offer to do this but we like to try and keep all our customers happy but it seems that with customers like this one it was not the case .

  we was willing to try and help the customer with there damp probs free of charge but they must understand we have to fit them in when we can . if we wanted we could have said no to helping as we undertaken our work we said .

  please do not let this rating put you of having sb builders we have lots of good ratings on this site and more sites . we undertake lots of work and try to keep all happy . we think that this rating is not right as we have tryed to help best we can . we should have just said no to helping for free as this has now cost us a not so good rating and money with heping . sorry the work did not work with the damp fault but as said on the estimate it was not 100% that it would .

  sb building services have done undertaken lots of work with happy customers . we have good ratings and letters from customers if anyone would like to see them before having us undertake any work . our work is to a very good standard and we always email and call our customers as and when needed to update them .... we can not please all but try our very best...

  we have have been trading for more than 25 years and this customer has been one of the hardest ones to deal with even when we was ofing to try and help free of charge .

  Our issue with SB builders, it is now Feb. Work began Nov. Their first response to our rating seems to indicate that they completed their follow up work. They have not. The "free" service they claim to have so generously offered to undertake is not free, it is necessary follow up work from the original job. Every correspondence seems to indicate they have done us a favor by even considering to fix their initially poor work... which they have not fixed.

  Our work means we can not be at the property every day of the week. Once or twice a week at best. We had hoped they would understand this and be flexible with scheduling, is that so difficult? Would anybody expect any less from somebody who has been paid to provide any service? SB builders, aware of the financial implications to us if the work was not completed in good time constantly delayed and cancelled appointments arranged for these days, stalling progress.

  sb builders will not be to blame work we priced for was done and we have photos and paper work saying we did not know if this work would work and sort the salt probs and you still had us undertake this work with a signed estimate . the salt come back as we said it might and we offerd to help you best we can free of charge this is a free service and not part of the job we priced for as that work was finished .

  we come back on site for free to help and re-renderd the walls again costing us for the render /running cost of vans and labour that we did not have to offer . we was going to come and plaster the walls next week for free to help you but then all we got without contacting us was this rating on this site .

  we do not think this is right for us to have this sort of rating and will be contacting rated people about this matter . we are also looking at taking legal action to get any costs back for coming back on site as this was not part of the same work , we also think that there has been some slander for our name and will be looking into legal action for this . we do not wish to talk about this matter on here anymore . we will contact you by legal letter if we need to .
