Barley Design & Build LTD are an experienced Building team with nearly 20 years Experience in all aspects of Domestic Construction.
We primarily focus on Extensions and Conversions with most of our work being these.
We also Specialise In Structural alterations of all kinds whether it be a single beam to complex steelwork to support a back of house removal. We also complete many Chimney breast removals throughout the year.
We undertake full or part house Refurbishments with all associated trades.
We welcome Domestic clients as well as offering our services for Council grants and Insurance works.
We have our own Architect and Structural Engineer so are able to fully organise projects from planning through to completion.

Garage Conversion
Very pleased with everything Dave did for us during a difficult time. His work and vision was very good, and all at a reasonable price. You could always get hold of him as well which was great, nothing was too much. Would thoroughly recommend Dave to others and hope to use his services again in the future.
Chimney Building / Repair
Ended up being much bigger remodelling job than we first anticipated with additional work requested by us, such as wall removals, bricking external doors and anticipating future loft extension . Very happy with the work Dave did. Had a few curve balls as would be expected on quite large job such as this, I believe Dave gave us what he thought was the best options/solutions. Also Dave was pretty good at keeping us up to date with progress and happy to meet to discuss project and changes whenever we asked.
Home Improvements
Received a number of quotes. So glad that I gave the job to Dave and his team. There were complications during the build due to some hidden horrors in the existing structure but Dave took care of everything with regards to the local building inspectors who he liaised with throughout. First class job, kept me fully informed, will be getting him back in for additional work very soon.

Very honest and genuine builder. Started the job one week before Christmas, so needed to be spot on due to time. Hit a very little snag however, came back after Christmas. Would highly recommend. There isn't many honest builders out the but Dave is true to his word.
Chimney Building / Repair
We found Dave on my builder. He is very friendly, reliable and honest person. As he promised he completed all the work on time. He removed our chimney including the stuck very neatly. He repaired the affected areas and replasted the full ceiling. He never left any rubbish in the house. Thank you Dave for the brilliant job you have done for us. I would recommend him for future work.
