Two Mills Property Services was started by myself, Mike Howard, in 2014. On 24th October 2016, I opened an account with Rated People.
At the time of writing, I have undertaken 21 Rated People jobs since I signed up, with 18 ratings/reviews for those jobs. I currently have a total of 79 stars out of a possible maximum of 80 stars.
Most of my first 18 reviews are for joinery work. One is for a Man and Van job. For 2019, I hope to secure staircase-related work; specifically, railing assemblies (balustrading).
I can be flexible on times/days, evenings no problem.
As for charges, hourly/daily rate or a written estimate, it depends on several factors, including the nature of the work and the extent to which the job has been assessed by myself. Free home visits are available for properties within about a five-mile radius of Chester city centre.
Estimates are valid for 14 days.
I prefer to communicate by email or some other written form.
Trips to retailers, for materials: I generally don't charge a mark-up but I reserve the right to do so. I always present receipts to the homeowner.
Disposal of discarded material: I do not currently have a licence so I'm unable to offer this service. But I've cut doors in half so that the pieces can be put into a car.

I got exactly what I needed here, and the job was done in good time without fuss and minimum mess. I would have Michael again if I had another similar job.
Man/Woman with a Van
Mike was able to fit around delivery times I needed and was punctual to pick up. He did most of the lifting and ensured everything fitted in the van and would not move around in transit. He unloaded for me at the other end and was friendly and professional throughout. He matched the price I was able to get on anyvan.com and I would definitely recommend him for a man and van service.

Mike was able to work around days and times that I needed and was punctual to pick up the items. He did most of the lifting and unloading at the other end. Mike ensured that items were loaded so they would not move around during transit and he matched the price I was given by anyvan.com. I would definitely recommend his man and van service.
Internal Painting & Decorating
Thorough and hard working, a little too thorough in terms of external circumstances that I didn’t need to be made aware of. The work is decent quality with attention to detail, matching patterned wallpaper patterns is tricky but some pieces aren’t snug together., took longer than expected, ran into business hours which was mildly Inconvenient. A little messy which I was left to tidy myself before we reopened for usual working hours. Very reasonable price for the work completed and the time it took.

Thanks Edward The external circumstances, I assume your comment is about the city centre parking issue, The wall area at the reception was difficult, particularly around the desk. There was paper separation in a small (25x50mm) but conspicuous place,, which I repaired later, . Access panel area was awkward. Worked till 23:00 on first day, for your convenience. Bagged offcuts, used covers. Glad that you are happy with the price. Took longer than I had expected ( three visits). Thanks.

£214.50 which included parking for two days, and filler, which cost £12. Left me £180 before diesel , the cost of which was negligible. The pre-quote budget specified by yourself was under £500, so my price was well under that.

Although I was aware that you employed a cleaner, I offered to address a particular area at the end of the job. So I didn't expect to read a comment about cleaning.
Home Maintenance / Repair
Mike did a series of jobs for us really well, he showed up when he said he would and we were very happy with the price. Mike just comes in and gets on with it.

They fixed some holes in the walls and you can’t even tell where they are now! The walls that they have painted look great. All the previous colour has been covered. Mike showed me all the receipts and even took a paint back that wasn’t needed. They put all the furniture back when they were finished. Thank you for a great job!
