You have not phoned or emailed since I paid you £1800, not even a courtesy to say you had received the funds. I withheld the remainder as you did not membrane or baton as per the quote and withheld guarantees and photos of work in the loft, thus you are in breach of contract. Yesterday i went to touch up some paint that you failed to do and saw the gaps in the weatherboard and large hole. That is why I am in contact only now as I had not been in my neighbour’s garden.

Hi I'm a time served bricklayer, with 40 years experience, I have been self employed for the last 38 years and have never really been out of work but moved to Norfolk from Essex a couple of years ago and I am now looking for local work. We have extensive experience of lime plastering, render and traditional materials such as lath and plaster and wattle and daub. We also undertake repointing and wall repairs with flint and clunch. I have an MSc in Building Conservation and can advise on many aspects of the care and renewal of traditional buildings whether listed or not. Issues such as damp and insulation in old properties are a speciality. We can also recommend and liaise with other tradespeople who are qualified to repair historic timber, brick and stone. Dan did such a great job with our 17th century lime wall. Painstakingly removing the modern repair without damaging the surrounding plaster and then re-lathing and finishing with lime plaster. You can hardly see where the repair is even though we didn't skim the whole wall to preserve wall paintings. Very clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, highly recommended.
