I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!

My name is Dwayne and I am 32 yrs old. I am from Grenada in the Caribbean and I have many skills in multiple trades. I have over 15yrs experience in the painting and decorating trade and I had my own business in Brighton and Hove. I now live in Dorset and have had my business DP Handy Neighbour for 3 yrs. I specialise in painting and decorating, all internal and external jobs, but I also have skills with tiling, carpentary, flooring and i have recently completed a course and am fully trained in the fitting of Geberit wash and dry toilets. I have certificates in Health and safety, NVQ level 1 and have NVQ level 2 in painting and decorating. I absolutely love what i do and there is no job too big or too small. All my quotes are free, I never take deposits up front unless large amounts of materials are to be purchased prior to a job starting and I will always make sure my customers are happy with my work before I leave and take final payment. This company is dishonest. Stupidly I paid for this job before it was finished and have been conned. They turned up 3 hours late, did 2 hours work and left early. They insisted on being paid up front saying "don't worry we'll come back to finish the job, if we didn't a bad review would kill our business". We arranged a date to come back and finish the work and they never turned up, wasting my day. They've now stopped answering calls. Next step is contacting trading standards.
