George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. He gives good prices, but in the end leaves you hanging. Luke replastered the whole house, but some of the work was sloppy. My living room wall is still covered with bumps, which he was supposed to fix before his dad redecorated. His dad painted right over them. This is just one of several problems. So then Luke asked for an early payment and that he would sort all the problems I raised and until then I can hold off 100 pounds. He has since buggered off. I call him, I now get voice mail. I have provided a phone number in the chat. A £8000 job falling apart in less than a year is really poor work. It would be great if fixed by yourselves. At least you are saying 10 years guarantee here on line.
John is a really nice guy, I'd love to rate his actual work but after chasing for quotes for a few weeks I should have realised. I've been constantly chasing for three months to get the work complete. No option but to return insurance cheque for payment for the work I can't get completed and go through the whole process again with someone reliable. Shame as i said he seemed a really nice guy!.
Handyman, most aspects of work undertaken
Came to fit a new shower tray and enclosure 19/12 and fit a lintel over a fire which was done well.However the shower we found 2 days after, due to waiting for sealant to dry, is unusable as the water does not drain away and floods the floor, also the tiles they put on around the shower fell off the wall as they were not stuck on properly before grout. I had paid them the day the job was done .I asked Paul to rectify it and he said he would on 31/12,then didn't attend & told me to get another plumber !

Poor communication and lack of project management skills and honesty leaves something to be desired of this company. A 4 week job turned into a 16 week job due to the fact that the sub contractor was not released monies to purchase materials although I paid a hefty 30% deposit and further 30% before up to roof level. I would recommend Carl the sub contractor that did the work but wouldn't recommend CM Masonry. The sub contractor did a good job thankfully so the end result is good.
George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. The company main reception also seems to be a virtual reception so you can never speak with anyone helpful

-10 Do not use a guy from Grimsby called Ryan. Felted small shed roof, very few roofing tacks used and was not sealed down. No removal of old felting only patched up. Blown off within TWO Weeks was a total Botched Up Job, quoted £500 then told needed another £200 after job done...Just taken advantage of an elderly man.

Next day the heavens opened & found the roof still leaking & pouring in from the top of the windows. Contacted L&P same day but no one was picking up!! Monday I received a text from Luke saying he had a bad signal where he was at & best to text him instead, email, texts no reply

These guys were fantastic, turned up on time and did a great job. Ended up staying quite late into the evening fixing a mystery plumbing issue ( no fault of theirs) and didn't leave until it was perfect. They even came back 20 minutes later because they thought they'd forgotten to tidy something up. Couldn't ask for better service. Really nice, friendly people, who get the job done properly at a reasonable price. Would recommend and will be using again.
