Paints & Ladders with DDE Construction was hired to do a garage conversion. I chose them as they were the only company that offered an end to end service (i.e. design, council application, build,and paint) as I am extremely busy. They excelled in client relationship, as they took me through all the stages of the development their design really focused on what was important to my family. I would really recommend them as they take pride in their work and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Mostly a good service but some bathroom work had to be re-done because the plan wasn't followed. Their communication wasn't good and things that they said would be done were not. I was surprised to find they were storing their equipment in the new bath. Fortunately, no damage was done. Overall rating 3.

Professional, courteous and excellent communication regarding the job from quote to completion (removal of load bearing wall in kitchen which he cleaned and tidied afterwards). Did the job on the gas boiler that was badly fitted in a brand new house and no problems and left us saying it will be fine when the water starts running through it. An hour later we started to get a leak and they cancelled a job to get back to us ASAP pulled up some carpet and sawn through the floorboards and ceiling to get to the problem to fix it properly. Highly recommended for both quality of job and above and beyond customer service.

I commissioned Alec Gardner Builder to install an interior Bathroom on the strength of his previous work replacing a soil down pipe. He is such a skilled and talented builder with an acute attention to detail. He constructed an excellent bathroom where I wouldn't have thought it was possible.( He also re felted the roof of a geriatric and tricky shed) I have no hesitation in recommending him for building work.
