The basic work was done, but I’d agreed with mark that he does a number of other pieces of work because the price I’d agreed with him was too much for resetting of 30 or so bricks. But before I knew anything about it he’d taken down the scaffolding and packed up claiming he’d done everything possible. I’d paid handsomely for a days work, I got a couple of hours max. Nice guy but let me down terribly. I needed 3 rooms to have new ceilings. A messy job and taking the old ones down was fine, but they ran out of time, failed to complete the job leaving gaps in the plaster on the walls and failed to skim the plaster board on the ceilings. Shocking result- they were too concerned about the large job they had and left my rooms in a shocking state.

Very thorough cleaning of roof which is a messy business; they cleaned up pretty well after themselves leaving an excellent result. I would strongly recommend that any roof work should be carried out by a known and trusted roofing firm, preferably local, which is registered with a relevant trade association. They will value their reputation. A company that offers a variety of trades my not excel in all of them as we found to our cost.
